I was looking at knife porn -- as you do -- when I found a 1066 steel claimed to be hardened to 59-60 HRC, a scandi grind that I will reprofile to a radiused grind then patina with mustard w/o the oak scales which I will soak in BLO -- probably I will treat the leather w/ BLO as well before I saturate it with my proprietary leather oil ( a topic for another time, I have used all the other leather oils/waxes and mine are better). BTW I put up all my carbon steel tools with BLO as well. It wears right off and protects metal like mad.
Sited as 9.9 inches in length overall, the handle is a bit longer than the blade.
This is one of a group of knives produced in Ukraine by a Father-Son business I want to support. The Bondarencho (spelling?) family dba: BPSKNIVES. This is a sympathy purchase I hope will turn out well ( Go Ukraine! ).
We will see what we will see. This is just an FYI in case any of you edgy dudes feel sympathetically inclined. After all the knives I have bought since the Sixties -- why not.

Thanks, I don’t need another fixed blade, but now I’m on surfing for a Ukrainian knife!

Hahaha..I saw those too. I ended up picking up their kiradashi neck knife. It's a nice little knife. The corners are a little sharp, but for what I paid I can't complain.
It impressed me enough to go back and get another, their "Savage" model. I thought it would be a good kitchen knife, and I was right.

Yah, I nearly got high centered on that myself.
