This is my first "Tri-Ad" lock, and so far I'm impressed. Locks up with zero movement. It does seem to take a really stout push down on the lock release to close the blade, is that normal for these locks?

Can't find anything to complain about really, one sharp sturdy folder!

I have a few CS knives and yes, it does take a hard push on the lock back to release the blade, some more then others. The spring on my Recon 1 and AK47 is much stronger then my Large Voyager.

That's a very good buy, one of my favorites for a knife that can be put to very hard use without worrying about hurting an expensive tool.

Yes, I find that the lock bar on mine needs a firm press to release.

*eta* I put mine away without wiping it off and came to find a little colored spot on the blade. You might want to keep a little oil on the blade when putting it away.

Yeah, that is pretty normal, but it does loosen up a bit (either that or you get used to the motion)

That blade is the funnest slicer I own, have fun with it

I just bought the large version if the knife in the op

Being use to the spartan's triad, I found this one's pretty light.
Generally though, they do have a break in.
