My first Bacon Bit's name is "Christian James"; and was born on 2/8/08 at 3:56 AM after being inducted for health concerns. He is 8 lbs, 9.5 oz and 21.5" long, a monster when you consider my wife to be 5'2"!!
We are truly blessed by him, as his umbilical cord was knotted when he came out!
The doctor and nurses took a good long look at it and said they don't see many babies that survive that. Fortunately for us, Christian is completely healthy and Mommy is doing great! 
An interesting note about his name, my great-great grandfather's name happened to be Christ (pronounced like Christopher, without the "opher"); we liked the name a lot but didn't want people thinking his name to be Christ (as in the Son of God
). He is the first grandchild for both our parents.
I stopped home to pick up a few things and wanted to take a moment to see what is on the Ganza for tonight...holee cow Jerry and Garth you guys outdid yourselves this time! Unfortunately (for everything but my reeling credit card), we won't be getting out of the hospital until tomorrow, so I am missing tonight's Cupidganza. I am still going to throw in (2 blades have caught my eye ) and if I score I am dedicating it to Christian for when he's of age to safely own it! Anyways, thanks in advance to any well wishers and for your prayers!
(he has the same hairline as his daddy! )
