Just got my BK2 today and so far with just holding it I'm really happy. Yea it is a "chunk", but for me it's comfortable. I don't find it heavy or cumbersome, but then I'm used to carrying a RD9 when I trek out into the woods. Came somewhat shaving sharp. No big deal. Still iffy on the Grivory handles. Have to put it to the test to make that determination. Can always go micarta if I want. The sheath... Kydex part I really like. Tight yes, but I prefer it like that. The belt loop tho, not so much. No worries tho... I'll figure something out. Can't wait to actually get it out in the woods and try to beat it up. :D Thanks Ethan!

Sweet! By the by, you see that chipping you have on your MacBook at the edge on your right palm rest? Take your computer into any Apple Store and they'll fix it for free. You actually have three stores in your area (I knew the map would come in handy!).

I work at one of the stores. We see that chipping all the time.

Even if it's out of warranty? That would be cool! Guess I couldn't get a new keyboard too... the click bar on the trackpad doesnt work anymore. Have to use a mouse. Ok... back to Beckers.

sometimes they honor factory defects longer than warranties. especially when it's a safety issue, like a battery. five year old laptop, battery was in range for the swap out, they just swapped it, no questions, no hassles.

Yeah. They do it all the time on out of warranty machines. No charge. I can do the repair in about five minutes. They replace the entire topcase, which includes the keyboard, power button and trackpad button.

Yeah, back to Beckers. Sorry about that.

I need a BK2. I got my BK9 and that thing is a tank but now I'm thinking I could use something a little smaller for lighter work... Damnit Becker my bank account can only take so much!

The BK2 is shorter than the BK9, but it only about three ounces or so lighter. Both are BIG knives. If you want something smaller for truly lighter work, I'd look at the BK11 or BK14.

I'm not at all disparaging the BK2, mind you. I think many would argue that the BK2 can do just as many tasks, if not more, than the BK9.

... or perhaps a BK-10 if such a thing were to be produced again. :D
