Custom scales, sheath and mini review coming soon!

I am more and more thinking this will be my next knife. EDC-able, and the zytel handles make a huge difference from the last one I had. Add a Godspeed! Sheath, and its a nice package. Then I'm going back to the big Beckers.

You will be in for a little treat when you see my knife fully done!

I have been using this BK on and off and work now for about an hour and I must say I LOVE the knife. But the sheath SUCKS!!! This BK (like almost all) came sharping sharp out of the box, after taking it in and out of the sheath 20+ times it has KILLED my edge!!

I can't wait for my new sheath to come for it!

Nice man, getcha some scales...it totally changes the feel of the knife.

I had "Tommythewho" here on the forums make me a set of wood ones! But those are currently with "GODSPEED" here on the forums so he can make me a matching taco sheath!

I can't wait! I have a couple of other little modifications I plan on making to this knife but that is all under lock and key until it is finished!

I guess I'm the exception to the rule on this. Or, perhaps it's just the way I pull it out of the sheath or something. Mine's still shaving sharp.

I don't have the 14, but carry my 11 everytime I do anything outdoors, your gonna love that thing.

nice! i just got my necker in today as well, kinda wishing i went with the eskabar.

The micarta scales make a huge difference on the BK-11. I love mine. I'll still probably pick up that 14 though.

BTW...Congrats on the new blade!! The Neckers are awesome!

No...I've never had issues with mine dulling either. I've never understood what all the sheath dulling hub-bub was all about.

I think it all depends on how you draw! Mine is normally in my front pocket then I pull it out behind me somewhat, so I think the blade just rubs funny with my pull.

Although, I have read a lot about people having this problem, so who knows!

Since I have custom scales coming I have just been goofing around with some extra paracord I have been meaning to use up.

So I decided I would give this a try.

I kept the originally wrapping in the pictures above and then just wrapped that around over it again. It actually makes it feel great in hand and almost like it has scales! I don't plan on leaving it on, but I do like it so far!

As good as paracord is you'll be shocked when you get your scales, a scaled up Eskabar is an amazing knife (well that DOES depend on how well the scales are made, but still.)
