Since the moderators can't can't awnswer quetions about the rules of picture posting in the Custom Knife Forum this cheap POS ( according to a photographer) will now post all pictures of new peices in this gallery.
This one has a 3.5 inch blade of BG-42 and is 8 inches OAL. The moose horn for the scales was supplied by the customer and the bolsters are brass. The new owner wanted a handle that got wider towards the butt. I don't think its to wide. At the bolster joint it is 5/8 inches and flairs to a full inch at the butt.
Any comments or criticizum on the knife is greatly appreciated.
Oh ya and for those who do not understand this one is sold already.

And here is a picture of the spine showing the flair of the scales just before the butt.

Very nice Rob.I like the way the handle widens, looks like it would fit the palm of the hand very well.Have you tried any taperd tangs?

What a beauty! THe colors go great together. Red liners, the stag, the blade satin finished and the brass... WOW! Cool :)

Hey, I guess I better start looking at this forum eh?!?!

Nice piece! :)

Thanks for sharing...I got a little mixed up on the confusion too, but I'd bet a nickel it would be okay to post it on the custom forum. You sure wouldn't get any complaints from me! :)

Nick

Thanks guys!!!
Stumpy and Ebb I do do a few tapers but most of them have simple micarta or other synthetic scales on them. Most of the time I just drill to balance and leave the tang full width. This one balances at the bolster/scale joint. I might have to start doing more tapers.
3/16th and Crayola the combination of red liners and brass along with bone or stag scales will live forever, a true clasic.
Nick it will be a while untill I go back to the custom forum, to many people trying to make it into what they want and there not makers or moderators. For now I will be satisfied to be prowling the gallery and shop talk, see ya there.

Robert, post all the pictures you want, especially if they are of knives as nice as this one. Very interesting handle, I like it.

Keith I'll keep posting pictures because eventually I post one that you can't resist.
Thanks!!
