Very Nice! I like the proportion of the blade and handle.

Can I ask how you attach the pommel? I want to make a small hunter and was contemplating using a flat pommel and what to my wonderous eyes should appear.......

Any way great knife. It should make someone very happy!

That's a classic knife Robert! I'm dying to try my hand with a Bowie design. Your satin finish (which I prefer over a mirror finish) is great and I like the flow of the overall design.

Wow, Robert, that is beautiful with all the right lines! Seems like all of a sudden you got the flat grind down pat, what a treat. Thanks for sharing, let's see more!

Bob,
I attach the Pommel by using a threaded collet I get from K&G knife supply. First I solder and pin a Threaded rod to the end of the tang. Next I grind down the end of the threaded rod and attach the collet with a pin. Leave enough slop so it will wiggle around. I hard solder another piece of threaded rod to the back of the pommel and screw it into the collet.
Pain in the Kazoo, you bet.
But it works:rolleyes:
After dry fitting it I fill the entire void with 24hr epoxy and screw on the pommel, let it cure then I finish the edges of the pommel.

Believe me a flat end is MUCH easier to do!

Hey thanks for the encouraging words!
I have one more Bowie in the works. I found a really neat piece of Ironwood burl with Honey yellow streaks and some birdseye. I think that one will make a neat Handle. I will post it when its done.

Man that looks good, and I think I can see the temper line too!

I love how everything flowes together.
