Well, lets start off with, the Busse BATAC is a tank a straight up tank. its a bit larger then i thought, but its a nice size. And since my canoe trip coming up it will be sure to get a good work out.

Sorry for the bad pic

i love the look of it, the knife has a great feel, even though its pretty heavy. but should make a good chopper.

just need to get a sheath for it, and i will put it to the test.

You are very lucky to snag one of those. I really like them and they really do look like a tank.

Matthew, I ordered two and I'm still waiting for my black on black. When did yours come?

It is bigger than I expected too. It makes my CS SRK seem petite, even though it supposedly has an inch bigger blade. I think it will make a superb wilderness knife, and handle any abuse I can send its way.

I'll be interested to hear how it handles for you on your next outing.

Nice, very nice, looks the the type of knife a guy could get carried away with.
You may won't to keep the paddles out of sight on your trip.

Details on the knife, blade length, thickness, differentially hardened? What does BATAC stand for?

Badger Attack Tactical I think. SWEET knife!! Trust me it won't disappoint you either. I have a Swamp Rat M6 that is with me on every outting and it's done nothing but impress me. I just ordered Busse's new offering the SUS SCROFA I'm a huge wharncliffe fan so I'm really excited. I just hope it's small enough for a little EDC too.

3/16th thick, 5" blade, 10.75 overall length, Badger Attack Tactical (the type of handle shape, not a reference to the intended purpose). I don't believe that it is differentially hardened, but I could be wrong about that.
