Could have gotten one years ago when the first came out, but I thought it made more fiscal sense to wait and pay almost 4X as much!!! ;-)

I have to say that is just stunning.

Interesting to see that next to the custom 110 thread. Nothing there is as nice IMO. To my eyes there is a nice balance created by the sheild and checkered pattern. Just stunning.

Very nice score! All of the MS Buck knives are sweet.

Oh Man that brings back memories,I got one from S.I.R. Mailorder(now cabelas canada)back in 1998,it was around $150 then,i stupidly used mine for hunting, then at a later date it was stolen along with a lot of my other knives. It was my first bg-42 blade i ever had the pleasure of owning, and it was all that back in 98.You got yourself a mint one by the looks of it!congrates!

I love those. I guess 4x isnt bad if you want it-I dont see too many up for sale, so ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

It was mint before I put a better edge on it and did my typical elimination of side to side wobble. Now it is snug in all directions and stupid sharp and a dandy user.

AWESOME!! I too wish I had gotten some of the Master Series knives when they were being made.

CONGRATS!

Just out of curiosity, but did Buck use a different back spring material to compliment the blade steel upgrade? I'm thinking from a wear perspective.

Been using it every day for everything from the usual cardboard to a new shooting stick (will post pics another time) lamb chop prep, veggies and anything else that may pop up.
