4" blade forged O-1 of course, copper guard and escuteon. figured Walnut and birch burl spacers. This knife is nearly complete, just a few touch ups and a sheath and it`s off to Germany.

Just to let you guys who are waiting for your knives, I am a bit behind ( about 3 weeks ) I got pnemonia back at new years and it really slowed me down. I`m back at it hard and trying to catch up!

Sorry about the wait :(

Nice work, Ron! I really like the contrast in the handle materials. What kind of wildcat bullets are those with the knife? I thought you were a "souped up" 30-30 guy, but those look too short. This crappy weather were getting around here can't help with the pnemonia, so stay warm and heal up!

That is really nice! the guard and handle materials are very different!
Take care, you can't fool around with pneumonia!

Ron, that's plum purty. Looks like a nice EDC. Can't wait to get my LHK. Stay well and keep the forge hot....

That's a beauty Ron. I like this style. The handle treatment is very eye catching and I like the way the guard and ricasso are lined up at an angle like that. The copper looks great in there as well.

Nicely done Ron. That's an attractive and unique-looking handle.

Cheers,

Roger

Thanks for the great comments guys! oh and the little wildcat is my own creature. I call it the 5mmSSH ( 5mm Straight Short Hornet ) It is based on the 22 hornet casing, but is shortened to a case length of 1.020" with a straight casing wall and a 30 degree shoulder. It shoots those little 30 grain silver bullets at 3070 fps with only 9.3 grains of powder. geat little coyote gun. See I have one of those old 5mm remingtons which is very hard to get ammunition for, and getting brass for the Craig conversion is a pain, so I made a reamer on my lathe and chambered it to this. 22 hornet was the closest casing dimensionally and the most readily available casing. works great, but still working on Load development.

like it has already been said that handle composition is something else. Great job in making it unique!
