A super HOG was kind enough to let this one go to a new home. This is a grail knife for me so you can imagine how happy I was to get it. It came to me with a super sharp edge, it shaves hair thats for sure.

I love this knife, I said I was going to beat it but I don't know if I can bring myself to do it. I don't usually shy away from beating my Bussekin knives but this one just seems so special.

Thanks for looking.

Nice pile of steel you got there.

Love the old e-handles.

Congrats.
The ZT BM-E is one of the knives I have a real thing for.
I like the regular household straight BM-Es too (love those spear points), but the ZT is the bomb.

Congrats on gaining your grail.

The BM-E, in either version, is one of the knives I'd love to get my hands on too. I'm just not so keen on the second-hand prices of them

Your gonna love that BM-E ,,,,,,,,,,, gr8 chopper,,,,,,not as hefty as the battlemistress...... but with a slightly thinner blade,,,and a little less weight , you'll chop deeper with less fatigue........ love mine:thumbup::thumbup:

eh, BM-E are dime a dozen, beat that thing. :D

The Ergo handles are not my favorite, so I let my beater BM-E go to Arizona; it's happier now.

Congrats!!!
And nice pics too!

I've never been an erg fan, but the BM-e does get rave reviews.
I may have to break down and give one a chance one day. :o

Thanks for the cool pics... now go beat that beauty! :D

.

Thanks for all the comments. Heading out this weekend to beat on my NMSFNO and I will bring the BMe along. Will see if I can bring myself to beat it.

Like those Nike dudes down in Ory-gone say, JUST DO IT ! ! ! If you'd like some help, lemme know and I'll come down and put the first scratch on it for ya.

No-no.... Don't thank me.... I'm just a giving kinda guy. ;) :D

While I may malign the E-handles on occasion for being a bit "tall" (spine to bottom) for my hand, my BM-E has seen as much or more chopping time than any of my other blades. Due to its very good penetration (love that asymetrical edge!) the BM-E remains one of the top choppers I like to use. The other fave choppers are:
- my beater Busse Basic 9, which has a much friendlier handle (to my hand anyway) but having less blade-forward balance not as good penetration as the BM-E.
- a Nick Wheeler square-nose W-2 knife (corn knife configuration) which is also lighter in the blade, but due to Nick's *extremely* sharp edge and excellent blade geometry offers good penetration. http://www.wheelerknives.com/
- L7 steel competition specs knife from Mike Rader, also a thinner-at-the-spine knife than the BM-E that due to geometry is just a crazy-happy chopping experience. http://www.raderblade.com/

Happy flogging on that BM-E, amigo!

The crash axe was my first Bussekin purchase at Mischief last August. Not bad for a year of collecting. My wife has been very patient thru my addiction.

I say not to beat it, leave it mint. you already have a nice large beater there. besides, you have to save 1 knife mint for a possible end of the world scenario..and that beast could very well be that knife!!

I don't know. I think I would rather go out with the one I have sharpened enough times to do it blind and chopped down so many trees with that it is an extension of my hand at this point. Just an opinion:) Sad part is that would be my 20 dollar convexed machete:(

btw Snakedoc, sweet knife!
