I normally stick with folders and have been a long time Spyderco fan but ever since I joined BF I kept hearing how great RAT knives were so I had to see for myself. I started by purchasing the RC-4 that had been used but cared for from a forum member here. That's all it took!

I next purchased the RC-5 but wanted to compare it to the RC-6 so I bought both with the intention of selling or sending back the one I didn't want. Well now that I have them I just can't bring myself to part with any of them. I see the RC-5 and RC-6 having both their camping/survival uses.

I love the sheath on the RC-5 and don't really care for Kydex but it's slowly growing on me. I bought some Tek-Lok's from RAT's website to give a try and I have a Spec-Ops Survival Sheath on it's way for the RC-6.

I have not put them through their paces yet or cut more than just paper at this point but I have seen the reviews and have watched the hard use destruction videos and know these can take a licking! Backed by RAT Cutlery's warranty and over all 'good guy's' attitude really has me returning for more.

....I actually have an RC-3 on the way to round it all out!

RC-4, the previous owner stripped the coating but it's still awesome-o!

Nice pics!

Could you be a little more clear about how you REALLY feel about your RAT knives?:D:D:D

Congratulations on your RAT collection!

I agree, great photos and awesome knives. I've been reading through the threads here (on page 27 as I type this) and ordered my first RAT, an RC-6 on April 16th from Derrick at KSF (thanks Derrick and Wendy!).
I'm lucky enough to be able to work from home most days so I was thrilled when the mailman delivered it this morning. I've been playing around with it and comparing its size with the RC-3 and RC-4 (from all the great photos you guys post) so I can figure out which one will be my next purchase. I'm guessing I'll get the Izula and the RC-4 next. it'll definitely be a multiple purchase so I can save a bit on shipping, customs, etc here to Toronto.
Needless to say, RAT has a very happy customer here!

Great shots there tinwiskers! What camera did you use? The resized shots are pretty sharp. I got my first RAT last Monday - the RC-6 and was so impressed I ordered an Izula and RC-4 the same day. I hope to have them by Wednesday at the latest.

The first set of shots were taken with a Nikon Coolpix P90 and the 2nd set were taken with a Sony DSC-W70. They both do great with macro shots especially the Sony, I can get in really close.

Thanks everyone. I hope to add a few more RAT's to the pack in the future but I have to give these guys a try first!

Hi,

Could you please post some pictures of your RC-3 hanging on your belt or any other carriying method you like?
Also I'd like to see the RC-5 being carried in a picture.
Thanks for the effort!
