Hi folks,

are there any informations about a successor of the Sebenza 21 out? At least the 25th anniversary is running out soon, I assume. I know there has been a rare modell of 25th special Sebenzas, but limited. So, when will be out there a new model?

The Sebenza 21 is being phased out. It's being replaced by the Sebenza 25. The prototype Sebenza 25's were limited to 25 I think, and very expensive. The regular production 25's are not out yet, and I'm not sure if anyone really knows (except for CRK) when they will hit the streets. Right now there is only plan for a Large Sebenza 25, but I'm sure there will be a small at some point also. That's pretty much all the infor we have at the moment.

When I asked the CRK rep at the California custom knife show he wasn't sure when the 25 would be out.

Yes, the Proto's sold for 2500.00 but worth every penny. Seems I am the only one who uses his on a daily basis, besides Mr Reeve. It is a great knife. I just got a unique Lisa pick last week from CRK and talked to Angela. She said as of last Wednesday that the 21 is NOT being phased out. The time line of nine months out is still the answer being given when the 25's will be available. One question I asked was have there been any changes from the prototype to the production? The answer again was no, at this time the 25 proto should be the same as the production. Check some of my previous threads for pics, I have broken it down and already sharpened it. Hope this helps.

I called CRK a week or so ago and was told that the 21 would still be in production for the foreseeable future, and that there were no plans for the 25 to actually replace the 21 any time soon. Good news IMO.
