I just got off the phone with our favorite Vampire Gerbil and as we suspected he is hurting. He has Gout in his foot, his knees are messed up enough so that he is contemplating surgery to replace them and his back/neck is messed up and hurting too.

He asked me to post a note to thank everyone for their concern, say HI to everyone and apologize for his not posting or replying to email but he is having trouble sitting at the computer .

Please, any prayers for my friend will be appreciated.
 
Just called VG again and his voice sounded better than this afternoon. Couple more laughs and we may have the Vampire with us again.
 
Dave, Hang tough my friend. Do what you gotta do to get back on your feet and on the road to a complete recovery. There's a lot of folks here that are concerned about you and would like to see you back to your old abnormal self.

p.s. Why do people say "Get well soon" instead of "Get well NOW!" Well, I'm changing it, so Dave, get your ass better right this second! :p
 
Gout...Damn, I HATE Gout!!! I hope you are doing ok Dave!...(And DON'T chop/shoot off you big toe!.). I've been taking my meds and watching what I eat & drink, and that has helped keep those goddamn Gout attacks away from MY foot for awhile now.
 
Hey VG,I read that taking GNC's Black Cherry extract pills is really good for helping with the Gout. I hope you get better soon,your wit and wisdom is greatly needed on this forum.
 
That's too bad. Best wishes for a quick recovery for VG!

I also hope his wife is doing better. He mentioned some time ago that she was battling a serious health problem too.
 
Take care Dave, and get well (now, as Ashes said). Also, for lubricating my knees, I blowdry them to a high temperature and apply a drop of Militec 1 (remember, a little goes a long way) ;)

But really, feel better!
