Hi Everybody,

I just got off the phone with a lady from Camillus Cutlery and she gave me the following info:

They have the Heat with plain blade in stock.

In about 2 weeks they will be coming out with the following:

The Heat in serrated blade
The Heat with black color blade in both plain and serrated.
A knife I've never even heard of before: "The Sizzler" ...apparently it's a smaller version of the Heat. Like the Heat, it will be available in silver or black color blade and plain or serrated blade. (Actually, the Sizzler is not in production yet and she isn't sure when it will come out).

She told me the MSRP on all the knives (my memory is terrible) and it's something like this:

Heat: $75 - silver
$83 - black

Sizzler: $61.95 - silver (plain or serrated)
$67.95 - black (plain or serrated)

I asked her about specs on the Sizzler (blade length, etc.) but she didn't have any info at this time.

Hope this helps!

Brian

Kevtan,
I'll call the good folks at knifeworks monday and give them the correction.....yes the HEAT features a AUS-8 blade. It has turned out to be a WAAAAAY kewl knife, at a great price ;)

Will, got the first dominator and am looking forward to the heat as one of the edc in rotation. Glad to hear that the steel is 8a. Could you elaborate on the heat treat for the heat!!! Will be ordering from Roger of www.knifeworks.com as soon as my wallet recover from my last spree of BKT 7, 9 and 11.

Saw and played with one last weekend... I may have to finally get me an assisted opener and I really like the semi-bowie style blade the Heat sports... But if there is a smaller one coming out... I may just have to wait, unless it has a drastically different blade shape...

My only concern is with the interpretation of the local laws by our local constabulary - In Seattle, the Heat is borderline "auto" under Seattle (and probably RCW) codes... why do we have to worry about such trivia?!?!
