So Chris Reeve no longer makes the one piece knife? I'm sure this is old hat to most of you, but it's news to me. I've been out of things for quite some time now, long story, too depressing. Since it's a real disappointment, I thought I'd again share a little about one of my prize possessions, Chris Reeve D2 Aviator #237 made in South Africa.

I got this knife a long time ago. I decided I'd have Chris refurnish it. When I got it back I was surprised at just how beautiful these things are again. Anne sent a letter with a little background on the knife. She confirmed it was a D2 knife from late 1985. Work was most likely done by Chris, at least most of it.

And no, sorry guys, I'm NOT taking any offers for it. It's just to special for me to let go now.

WOW, I never knew they used D2 steel in any of their knives. That is one beautiful piece of CRK history, never sell it, it's been with you longer than the span of most marriages, Congratulations.
 
Very nice!!! I have #602 made in 1988 and it has A2 steel, so yours is even more special! Congrats!
