Craig,

Enjoyed the newsletter. Realistically, how often do you plan on putting it out?

What about the possibility of a "classified" section in which forumites could advertise their wares? Or how about a "History Corner" which covers a small tid-bit of Gorkha/khukuri history each issue?

I know you don't have the time, but perhaps a few forumites might be willing to volunteer to help you out.

Oh well, it's a thought. Thanks again!

The Newsletter: In the past, I've sent them out when I had the chance. But I always try not to bother people with a bunch of junk mail.

As for a classified section, I'm thinking of building one onto my site so people could buy and sell things khukuri. Stay tuned for that. It is a sensational idea - thanks!

I might start to do the newsletter monthly. Do you all think that would be too frequent?

I think the idea of a monthly newsletter is great, but I think the frequency of distribution should be determined by need and substance. In other words, if there is enough new info to warrant a monthly newsletter, great. But I don't think you should obligate yourself to a monthly publication just to maintain a schedule. It might be better to start with a quarterly newsletter (or even every other month) to test the waters.

Actually, that's exactly what I've been doing with the newsletter. I keep one "started" on my computer desktop. When it gets to be about 3 pages, I send it out. Of course, I always struggle with Microsoft Outlook. Getting it to do anything except receive email is a real bi-ch.
