Next Axis Lock?

Any plans? gossip? ideas? I'll start!
I would like to see
-a spear point or drop point blade
-no false edge
-flat handles
-micarta could be taken into consideration, but not if it's gonna end up faulty (lots of companies mess up on heir first endeavour into a new product, no matter the industry, so that wasn't a shot at Benchmade, just a thought).
-IF multiple handle colors are used, DARK navy blue and black could be cool.
-Benchmade isn't big on choils, but it could be a good idea. A choil suited for finger placement is neat, but costly space-wise
-blade slightly under 4"
-handle only slightly longer than blade
-old stud style, or even a Round Hole???
-a flat grind! I would love a flat ground knife! I don't have one!

What do the rest of you think?

J2, sounds like a nice design. I'd buy one, but maybe with a Titanium or Aluminium handle. That way you could hard coat anodize it any way you want, like the Speedtech or TiNives.

The 730 just came out and your thinking about the next already?
Not impressed with the 730?
This is what they should have made in all black; pivot, thumb studs and screws IMHO.

Well, I am eager to see what comes up. I loved the way the 710 feels, but I don't like either blade. The 730 overall just "ain't my bag". I'm sure LOTS of people love it. That's good. I'm glad. I just can't wait to see one that I can fall in love with. I want something bigger than the 720. I'm over they 730 (the pre-production version anyway), and wanna see what the future holds. Besides, maybe this thread will be read and taken into consideration.
