I've got a dozen or so nessmuks in the works today...(amongst other things! )....all 3/32" thick 1095...scandi grind.

Any requests for handle materials?

Let me know if you've got a preference....will be gluing up today.

Things are picking back up in the shop...and I'm starting to clear more orders out.

To you guys, it probably seems like things are very hit-n-miss....but for me...I shop up and go like crazy all day and come home exhausted....I just end up getting things done that don't "show up on the radar" until later....like grinding knives for heat-treat...or even prep for glue-up. Things that "don't pay this week"...make sense? So I have to mix in some sales to keep myself afloat...:foot:

I have probably ~200 knives "in the works" right now...and will surely get them all cleared out before the year's end...that's more than a knife-a-day...if you start adding it up....and can see the whole picture...it's easy to see why one individual's knife order seems to take a long time.

Just the way it is...I'm figuring this thing out the best I can...I don't want to burn out...so far, so good....but the trade-off is that I have to do things "my way" to keep my sanity.

Anyway...just a little Tuesday-Morning-Update.

Today's gonna ROCK....let me know what handle materials to put on these nessies - even if you don't plan on getting one and just want to see it. :D

I would love to see

1) Black G-10 on a flat ground Nessmuk in CPM3v with nickel silver hole type pins. (what a mouthful, but what a knife that would be :))

2) black micarta on a flat ground Nessmuk in CPM3v with nickel silver solid pins

I still want to know if I could get that Black Orange G10 like you did on the Nessmuk on my Elite Bushmaster?;)

Honestly, I like BCM + red liners with solid brass pins (and a lanyard hole) w/ flat ground 3v. A quickdraw natural leather sheath too.

Not sure if you got me email from a few days ago about one of these...

African Blackwood would look nice with red liners/brass too.

Take your time with the knives, Dan... they're worth the wait

thanks, bro!

Forgot to mention that they are all 3/32" 1095, scandi grind - I updated the first post.

Not at this time...I might change my mind later...I don't want to open it up and end up mucking up orders because of the confusion.

+1 on the Black liner with Orange G10

I'll definitely do one...maybe two in this batch.

I got BCM in the works for sure...I'll sneak one in with red liners.

And yes, I have some Blackwood...will do one of those too.

This batch is gonna be a bunch of fatties.....thicker handles....we'll see what you guys think.

I updated the first post with the suggestions....keep 'em coming!

Your production is an inspiration to me Dan. As are your knives, and your general business plan. You already knew this. Keep up the good work!

Yes...I spent some time with mama the boys this AM...

Up at 5AM every day...today...managed some family time.

Got in at 8AM

It's now 11AM.

I've heat-treated 15 nessmuks....cut out/drilled/ground 2 EDC prototypes...cut out handle materials for almost all the above...scandi-ground some bushcraft blades...and have somehow found time to jump on here and check emails...

By late afternoon...all 17 knives will be glued up. All bushcraft knives will be scandi-ground (around 35 blades). 5 more Survivors will be ground out and readied for heat-treat. 15 already-heat-treated Survivors will be blasted and the flats finished out. 30 Minimuk blades will be packaged up and shipped out for heat-treat. And probably a few more things will sneak their way in there...

You can see why I don't want to slow down and take it easy today...got too much going on!

Any more handle requests? Clock's tickin'....

How do I go about pre-ordering one of these and how much would it be?

Make your request now if you like...no pre-ordering at this time. If I have it in stock...it gets glued up. ;)

How big is a minimuk? Sorry I'm new to your knives but I really like them. Oh, and I say Black Micarta with red Liners

okey-dokey - another BCM w/ red liners will be in the works.

minimuk = do a search on it or on "ramanon" here on my forum - you'll find it. ;)

Dan

Ok - I've got the list updated.

Keep your eyes peeled - these should be done in time for a big nessmuk Friday....:D

Dan

You don't know how close to prying me away from my money you were on nessmuk Tuesday. I need me a buffer, an etcher, a digital oven, etc., etc. and here you are trying to tempt me with nessmuks in blackwood.

Allen

I decided to go with black-orange-black instead....didn't have g10 thick enough to use on its own....will make sense when you see the pic.
