Next Batch of Ordered Blades Ready to be Crafted!
One of our bigger batches this year. You are also looking at the next two SBG Exclusive blades in our Doomsday Line, designed by Jason Woodard! So stay tuned for those releases! A Glimpse of a Recent Custom Creation:
This particular customer submitted their own Bowie Knuckle Duster Knife design.
THIS WEEK’S FEATURED DURABILITY VIDEO: Doomsday Cutlass SBG Limited Edition - #5 of the Doomsday Line. Exclusively offered only at the SBG on-line store. Watch professional reviewer Jason Woodard do EXTREME durability tests. Slicing through Jugs. Chopping through Trees & Hard 4x4 Pressure Treated Wood. Striking & Stabbing against Metal Trash Cans, 55 Gallon Steel Drums, Metal Poles, and even SOLID GRANITE! The Doomsday Cutlass didn’t break and nothing came lose. It passed ALL tests, only showing minor edge damage on the final test, when it was struck repeatedly against SOLID GRANITE!
SBG FEATURED BLADE OF THE WEEK: Fantasy Celtic Sword
An SBG Exclusive hand made from start to finish by Scorpion Swords & Knives. It is an original design with the same wide and punishing blade as the Achilles Sword but with a much more attractive handle with solid brass fittings that put an additional six ounces of weight at the rear of the sword, giving it much faster and more agile handling and also evoking the ancient swords of the early Celts. As with ALL our swords and knives, this blade is EXTREMELY DURABLE and almost indestructible blade.
THIS WEEK’S FEATURED BLADES – Spartan Lakonian Tactical Sword
Normal Greek swords were medium-sized cut and thrust weapons. When the spear was broken, they would normally be used overhand to slash at the head of the opponent. The sword was shortened in order to
encourage the Lakedaimonian warrior to use more effective thrusting attacks at the trunk of his
opponent.
Shop Details:
1095 High Carbon Steel. Steel is Heat Hardened & quenched in oil. Heat Tempered @ 500 degrees for 2 hours, and letting it air cool.
Measurements:
Total Length = 19 ½ "
Blade Length = 14 ¾ "
Blade Width = 2 1/8 " (widest section), 1 11/16" (Narrowest Section)
Blade Thickness = 3/16 "
Handle Length = 4 ¾ "
Handle Width = 7/8 "
Handle: Black Linen Micarta.
Weight = 2 lbs
