Wow. I cant really say what i want to say, because this is the family friendly section, but wow. I hope microtech doesn't sue me for saying wow.
 
It's a well written retraction. I agree that as a respected blogger Tony should have never taken the attack to a personal level against another member of the industry. Reviews need to be about the knives, not personalities.

What this retractions says most clearly to me is what it doesn't say. Nowhere does it confirm that Microtech creatively and morally owns the Natrix/Matrix design. That speaks volumes for a retraction mandated as part of a legal settlement!

Sounds like some shady extortion drama. Maryphoney and Microdick arent getting any of my money ever. Ever. Ever.
 
I'm fairly new to knives and knife forums but I've been following this story for the last month or so I guess. The attitude of Microtech through this whole thing is atrocious. If their design being so close wasn't enough, having people that represent them on social media use profanity and threatening people with violence should be enough to make anyone never want to own, buy, or use one of their knives ever again, IMO. I'm glad I'm new enough to not have bought anything from them yet and I know I never will after this. They may have won the battle but I think they've lost the war.
I think we should all go buy a KAI knife to show some support.

Find it hard to believe that a grown ass man can act like this. He is reminding me of a spoiled rotten and petulant child.

As for the title, "martyr," that's being bestowed (by some people) upon, Anthony Sculimbrene: if a person chooses a career yakking/typing about other people, he better have thick skin...& a good lawyer. "If you can't handle the heat... get out of the kitchen."

Also do this--stop harassing Microtech and Marfione. Having met the man and shaken his hand, I can tell you he doesn't deserve it.

Let's move on and focus on what we all enjoy here--the knives. And if you haven't noticed, I have never said anything bad about Microtech’s knives. The ones I have had the good fortune of handling are great. Furthermore, what I know about what Microtech has coming confirms that we are truly in a Golden Age of Gear. Amazing stuff is just on the horizon."

As for the Zero Tolerance 0777, and the MT Marfione Matrix models: I own and like both models. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
