So I finally, FINALLY, managed to grab hold of the cts-204p para 2 sprint and the southard as well. And I must say, CTS-204P is my all around favorite steel. I love how tough it is, and the edge retention is fantastic. It is also very easy to sharpen. Just a few passes with the sharpmaker leaves a hair popping edge. I've cut and battoned wood, roots, twigs, and in the end, I've still got an edge that can slice paper... Easily. Its safe to assume that I'm a fanatic over this steel!

I've been wanting to take my little family of CTS-204P spydies for a photo shoot, but I just haven't had the time.

Anyways, I have been wanting another spyderco in this steel to increase my spydie family!
I noticed however that these two use "earthy colors". The para 2 uses forest green I believe it was called, and the southard has earth brown.

Does anybody know if the next spyderco with have an earthy color?
Maybe like a foliage green Millie or even in desert tan?? Or possibly a stone gray manix 2?

Let me know, and also post any ideas for the next CTS-204p spydie! :)

204P in a Spyderco, Mule 14 in 204P may still come out sometime in the future. That is about the only one I know. If it is so, you can have it in any color you please!

As far as folders that are planned to be in 204P, it might have hit a standstill some months back when it was assumed that the steel was going to be disco'd by Carpenter. Now that we know that it won't be, the possibilities are endless. You never know with Spyderco. Also M390 would be a great consolation prize if some are planned in that steel as well.

You have excellent ideas. How does an N5 sprint sound? Grey or Dk blue G10.

Not sure exactly which model I would like to see have it next, but I would love to see 204P become a replacement for S30V. I bet if the quantities are similar, the price is similar. S35VN does not excite me much, I am not an S30V lover, it is good, but I have had some issues with it. We will see how I like XHP with the Domino, maybe that could be a S30V replacement, and Spyderco is using that a lot.

I like the XHP on the Mule team
Similar performance on the Domino will be good for me!
