Had a chat with Andrew about the next one. My next knife will be a homage to the Buck 110. The blade, bolsters, lockbar and spine will be stainless damascus. The blade will be high hollow ground for 3/16" stock with a 4" blade. Ti liners .08 approx (contemplating lifework). I'm thinking some kind of burl or stag for scale... perhaps ivory. This will be a Tri-Ad lock and the lock release will be in the same location as the on the 110. The blade will have a nail knick and an Emerson style thumbdisk out of matching damasteel. No pocket clip for this one. I'll have a custom sheath made.

So... gimme your opinions on this idea.

Sounds flashy as hell in truly CM style. :p

Personally I would possibly consider making the bolster nickel silver just for some contrast to the blade.

I think all that damascus might be a little OTT.

I think a blade shape that mimics the Emerson CQC-13 in a traditional style lock-back would be awesome though.

And I would vote stag for the scales. ;)

Nickel/silver bolsters would look nice, but I want steel. These Demkos are no joke strong. Even though this 110 will be an art knife, I want it every bit as strong as any other of Andrew's working folders.

That will be badass, although I'd redo the handle shape; I'm not a fan of the 110 ergos.

Me too. The handle/grip will be a bit wider.

No wave... yup. I figure the blade will be heavy enough to inertia open.
