I have both and I prefer the Izula.

It is a most excellent blade. No doubt. :D
 
have 'em both and edc the HEST... it is what it is, and its a beast..

If you're looking to pair it up with the 4 though especially for outdoor activity I'd say the Izula pairs up better, the HEST stand alone with no friends:D

OP, to answer your question.. IMO it is worth the extra money for the HEST if you plan to EDC it.. otherwise my opinion stands for the Izula..

either way, you'll end up with the HEST eventually.. :D
 
Ok, so I guess Izula it is. I have it set up to get one from EM Gear along with an Izula patch. Do any of you know any EM Gear discount codes? Thanks.
 
nice site, don't think I've ever been there... sounds like you've had a good experience with them which to me says a lot..

there are those here on the site that chime in regularly, most ship free, like.. (not to plug) the-knife-connection..
 
I think we're missing a golden opportunity here... it's not HEST or Izula... it's HEST AND Izula.

If not "now," then it is "soon to be..."
 
Aw, MAN! Shoulda got the H•E•S•T. (where is the big-evil-grin smiley when you need it?!)

Izula is handy. H•E•S•T is what I almost always have near me. Dunno why... it just is. And the honeymoon is long over on this knife. Yet, it sticks to me.

I will get one someday. I think I can wait till the price drops a bit on the HEST folder. I would like to have that one.

H•E•S•T folder would be quite nice. I'd like to get that, too. But I think the H•E•S•T fixed is my main EDC, as much as I can.

I've carried mine all the time I've had it for 2-3 weeks and its never left me.. Took a couple days to get used to as I've never carried a fixed knife for EDC, but now I don't even know its there..

I used zip ties on the sheath opposed to the molly.. I love this knife, showed it to the guy at the UPS store now he HAS to have one..
