Hey,
I'm going to be purchasing my first serious tomahawk soon. How much does a Next Generation Tomahawk cost? Over $200? if so, Is there a good reason that I should buy it over the Vietnam tactical? And if not, is there a good reason that
I shouldn't get the minute man poll hawk collecters edition? SO MANY QUESTIONS! CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

Are you stuck on one maker, that being ATC which is fine as they do very good hawks think to yourself what do you want to do with your new axe/hawk.
Stick it on the wall or use it OR both?
collecters edition stick on wall.
Next Generation would be good for heavy use as there is a good heavy duty handle/haft thats almost unbreakable
I think the next gen style is better than the Vietnam tactical but thats my thoughts,
personaly my likes are for hammer poll hawks.
what ever you get from ATC will quite possibly out live you:D
Why not buy the one your heart says buy then saveup:eek: and get more, as they say you never have enough of a good thing
Good luck
Chris

edgetrip my reply was based on what tommyhawk has a liking for www.rangerknives.com make good stuff as do other makers lets not totaly bog down tommyhawk in his first buy
my first was to order from TWO HAWKS but have to wait years to get them in my own hands but have bought others while i'm waiting

Norca, thanks for the expert advice. I think it's definately a good idea for me to stick with the american tomahawks though, 'cause the first time I threw a hawk it was a american tomahawk and I stuck it the first time. Now they have sentament as well as quality! I think I am definately down to either the ranger spike hawk or the lagana tactical. but, if anyone can tell me the price of the next generation ranger hawk, and it is around $200, I will buy it without a doubt. Because as far as I know, its the best hawk in the world, says my uncle. does anyone know the next generation ranger hawk price?

I found the ATC Next Gen Ranger for sale at www.knifecenter.com for $324.95. The following URL should get you there.

http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_detail.html?s=ATNGR

I've found that their prices are pretty close to the norm for most products. However, I've never ordered anything from them. ATC's web site says to call for prices on the Next Gen Ranger. My thought was to check the price at Knifecenter.com and then call the source for comparison and ordering. :p

Sorry, I thought that was a smiley face, not a face sticking it's tongue out. Maybe this will work.

:)

Norca,
is the next generation hawk from haysknives.com as good as the americantomahawk.com one? how is the ambassador warrior hawk for durability and fighting and throwing? how bout the ambassador next gen.?
sorry im so inquisitive. tommyhawk

Hi tommyhawk you sure do ask some stuff :D but that's what this Forum is for
first the next generation hawk from hays is the same more or less
The one I have from Hays is as i've said is the montanna hunter which is a hammer poll version and it's very good and throws very well I have also used it for cleaning/jointing game instead if buggering up my knife so I consider it a good buy
As for the ambassador warrior hawk I don't have one so can't say first hand but if the quality is the same I don't see you having any problems.
All the stuff from ATC is top class and Andrew Prisco is always looking to improve his line of hawks so his customers have the best thats available to date
so thats worth considering
what ever you get from either maker will be classy hope this helps
Chris

I have located the rmj forge page and the hawk to me far surpasses anything these other makers have is it not avaliable :D
