The Improved Bowie (my rendition of the old Herters Improved Bowie) 9 3/4" overall, 5" blade of 3/32" O1. If my records are correct, I`ve only sold 4 or 5 of these.

I still like it it's just lower on my list then some others, be a shame to miss out on one though

Damn John.
When are you planning on doing this?
Was thinking of getting one of these after ordering a TK 2.
Might have just bumped it up the list...

For you folks that don't have one,get it on the list!
I have a 1/16" thick one for kitchen duties & love it!
The Improved Bowie & Toby's Knife are my most used knives at the moment.
I was thinking about it when replying to TPVT's thread,it would be a perfect camp knife in 1/8" thickness IMO.

I would like #3 if list is to be started! Was on my list of next JK knives to buy.

John, What about changing it to the mid 60's version, the one with the hump on the back? You could stamp the wood handles with "Herders" and provide customers that snap strap crummy sheath they used. I believe that it should be a two rivet handle made of rare imported, exotic, pallet wood. I am pretty sure it would be the worlds finest and would get the seal of approval of the Alaskan Guide Association. You will need to procure some best quality Sheffield English Cutlers Steel to make them from. I will order three of them if you can match the 1966 Herters' s catalog price. I'll takeone of them .401 Powermags also.

I`ve got a humpback version too, thanks to Mykel, also some books by George and a duck call.

There seems to be some interest in this model, maybe I should keep it in my line?

Please! I would love to have one for the kitchen and that Toby's knife sure looks useful too. Bonus, if it has to do with the kitchen I don't even have to convince the Commander! Win win. Please keep!
