Going from Emerson's handmade knives, which would you like to see made into a production knife?

I personally would like to see the CQC-8 as a production knife, but I don't think that is likely. If any other handmades become production, I think it is likely to be the CQC-9 or one of the Vipers.

I agree with the CQC-8 and 9, but would also like to see some bolstered models. Maybe offer a CQC-7 with SS or Ti bolsters as an option at a little bit highter price or even the Commander w/ bolsters. I think that those would look nice.

A CQC8 with the wave feature, just like the five handmades made.

After that the Viper 3.

Okay. I have my deposit ready for the factory versions of the Trivector and Bodyguard. And, for the politically correct lurkers, I'm anxious to own an exact factory reproduction of the original SSDS. Ouch.

I would like a production version of the irginal CQC6. The 7 is OK, but it is not the 6. One made similar to the new Boker Brend with bolsters and g10 would be wonderful. Ernie, my money is waiting!

I don't recall seeing the Rhino. Does anyone have a picture?

SSDS...isn't that the "sentry removal" folder that looked similiar to the REKAT Folding Hobitt, but the blade was more extreme?

Dirk - you are correct about the SSDS. Forget the REKAT, it makes the Spydie Civillian blade look like an utterly practical dining utensil in comparison. Love that.

There was talk a year ago about a CQC8 & 9 production version ot be due Jan. 1, 1999 but I guess it never got off the ground.

If there was talk about a production 8 and 9, that is a heck of a lot closer to being made than no mention at all. Maybe if we keep up the noise, Emerson may produce it? It can't hurt.

Yes, the SSDS and the Rhino are one and the same. Emerson calls it the Rhino in his brochure (this is probably a more politically correct name).

I don't care for most Emerson designs, but I was really struck by the "Eagle" a few years back. Is that the CQC-9? I'd like to see those go into production and possibly give the Civilian a little healthy competition. I'd prefer "the hole," as I originally saw the knife, but "the wave" would be cool, too.

I talked with Ernest during the blade show and he told me about a possible limited edition of the Commander, chisel ground and maybe in green G-10. I would vouch for that, for sure, but not thgat I wouldn´t want to see any of the others suggested above in production!

I would settle for just getting the current production knives in production.

As dealers we have had so much trouble getting these, that if they start any new projects it will just slow up an already slow process even more. The cup runneth over already.

Production CQC6s would be nice though.
