Now it looks like my fiscal situation is looking rather better, the question is what to get next?

At the moment I am looking at a large and small Sebi woody for the collection and a graphic small for daily carry in my new job. It will probably be a few months till I can save for these (perhaps 6 or so). Question is... is this worth it?:p

I think I've overcome the shock of my Sebenza purchase. And that was a real bargain. I have come to really like the knife, and plan to soon have G2 make a sheath for me.

There are other production knives I'd like to have, no not so many now. I think that if I were going to be feeling more flush in the fairly near future, I'd be looking for handmade/custom knives. While the wood inlays and graphics do add to the appearance of the Sebenza, they don't add an iota of function.

Guess I'm not very big on having duplicates of knives. Best example I can give, I guess, is the Spyderco Native. I own the ltwt FRN model with the 440V blade. I have no desire to have a SS Native, or micarta, or whatever. I already have knives languishing in a drawer that I probably ought to carry occasionally, but they don't suit me nearly so well as my present rotation. I know that few knives I could buy would displace those knives at the core of my rotation. So, I'll spend my $$ elsewhere.

Wayne, you carry a large classic, right? I think your next knife should be ...

A MNANDI

Great knife, I think they will be in high demand six months from now. Order direct from Boise, the folks at CRK are always a pleasure to deal with.

How about something kind of simple Wayne........like a Black&White Devin Thomas Spirograph Damascus in a Unique Graphic.

And yes...while the folks are a real pleasure to deal with, umm...."The General" just might have a dealer in Tennessee he likes to work with:rolleyes:

Wonder who that might be :D

Something from Darrel Ralph or Tom Mayo would be nice. The Ralph small Apogee in 420V is a very nice knife with multicolored anodized scales, slim carry, frame lock and nice to look at. And at around $400.00, very close to an unique decorated and $100 less than a woody. Tom Mayo's TNT is in a class by itself. They both deserve a good look at. We talked you into the Sebenza and our claims rang true. I think you deserve to make the step up into the custom world. If you need to stay with Chris, I'm with St. James, go for the Mnandi!
