Recommendation? Next purchase descion.

Hello blade forums,i apologize in advance if my grammer is a little wacky,never was good at it.so getting to the point,i consider myself a knife guy,i like knives,i enjoy knives and i understand their value.i am currently in what i consider the mid production realm,i own a ZT 0562, a benchmade crooked river,a spyderco and a few other budget/mid production models.i usally buy a new knife every few months or if its a big purchase ($200+)i like to wait about 4-6 months before i buy another knife assuming i find something i like.it has been almost 7 months since my last purchase and i have been thinking for a long time and i have decided i want to add a microtech combat troodon,some sort of fixed blade and a side opening auto i have my eyes on the protech god father.would you guys reccomend i buy the microtech brand new and spend a little less on the fixed blade and the side opening auto or buy the microtech preowned and spend a little more on the fixed blade and side opening auto.also please recommendations for some nice fixed blades and side opening autos preferably over 3.5 inches.thank you.
 
I say in the fixed blade, get one by Horsewright Knives, really cool blades and leather options to carry them. What about a Buck auto?
 
I've never owned one, but I just love the looks of the Combat Troodon.
That would be my vote.
 
Combat troodon and Godfather are big knives. If thats your thing then go for it. Otherwise the Microtech Ultratech for otf and the Protech tr3 or godson as well as the Microtech ludt would be my alternative for midsize normal edc side autos.

Fixed blade is a big market. What price are you looking at being in and what use do you see needing it for?
 
Combat troodon is an awesome knife. Not too big by my opinion. Be aware that the spring is pretty stiff. I can open and close it 4-5 times in a row before I’m done. Maybe I just have pansy thumb strength. Socom elite auto also a great choice. Fires real hard. The knife has actual recoil. Then save some money and get an essee 4. Donzo
