I've been considering purchasing another BM to back up my work knife. I've been very pleased overall with the Volli I have been carrying. I like the overall size and unobtrusive presence of this little guy., especially since I de-assisted it. I'm also very impressed with the slicing ability of the blade profile. But, when compared to a m390 710 that I also carry regularly, s30v falls somewhat short on edge retention. I'm thinking that the m390 Ritter from KW looks like a good backup, but I'm open to other suggestions.

What say you?

If you dig M390, jump on the 810-1401.. Great knife, probably one of BKC’s best current offerings IMO

While I love the 810, it's a little large for my work place. I have one in M4 with some sweet Anso style scales that Keyman did up for it.

The 484 looks good on paper, might be another good choice... I suppose I need to track one down and handle one. Not sure how good it will feel in hand with the well defined finger notches. You guys that are recommending the Nakamura have any comparison in slicing ability with the m390 Ritter?
