I'm having difficulty deciding between the Gayle Bradley folder and the Manix 2 all black. I know both are highly regarded and will serve me well but can only afford one right now. Would love opinions, especially from those who own both.

The standard answer on this forum is to get both, and resell the one you like the least (if that is possible once you see both of them). GB=Bigger, M2= smaller/lighter.

This seems like a very ideal option.Coming from my standpoint, I just received my new LW manix 2, and I absolutely love it.I was also eyeing the all black version. However, decided to save a decent amount of $$ for other knives by going with the LW version.Hope this helps!

They are both prety different. I personally would probly get the gayle bradley, but I do really like the manix2 also. the light weight verson is nice, but i prefer the g10. like you said, you cant go wrong with either. Do you want g10 or carbon fiber? liner lock or ball lock? stainless steel or non stainless... like others said you could get both and sell the other

Thanks for the input.
I'm intrigued by both for different reasons. The GB is closer in size to what I normally carry (ZT 0550, 0562), and has a certain level of awesome the manix lacks, but I'm a little hesitant with M4 being non-stainless, regardless of how great a steel it is. I think the all black manix looks sweet and has a familiar, tried and true steel but I keep leaning towards the GB.
I think I'm just gonna go for the GB first. Just something about it that's calling me.
Or maybe I'll get the Manix...

Don't worry about tool steels like M4, D2, etc. A little spray of Breakfree CLP will keep them from having corrosion issues. I keep my knives sprayed and stored in sandwich ziplock plastic bags. You can then put them back in their box wrapped in their ziplock sandwich bag.

M4 is the way to go. Wipe it dry if it gets wet before you put it away.
I've had a bunch of GB's; never saw any rust.
