So there you have it. I almost always have a spyderco in rotation, and it is one of two companies I almost always look to buy from. Trying to figure out what model is next.

Have you checked out the Spyderco Zowada?

If you want a hard-use folder, get the Manix 2. If you want a light, office-friendly EDC, get a UKPK.

For the ultimate in light carry(and lighter duties) the UKPK is the easy pick. Also consider it in the drop point, it's a more versatile blade shape IMO.

they are polar opposites. You need to first ask if you want a hard use folder or a lightweight edc. Answer that and the choice is obvious

The Zowada is a great looking folder! If it had a full sized 4" blade it would be a 'have to have' knife for me. However the blade is just under 3 1/4". There must be a huge love for small folders out there, which is just inexplicable to me.

It's the law: in my state, the max legal blade size in a folder is 3.5". I travel often to places where the legal limit is 3" or less. Therefore, unfortunately I have no use for folders with blades larger than 3.5". Actually, most of the times I try to stay under 3".

So the other knife you bought was a Byrd? :p

Get yourself the Blue Manix 2. I have 2 on the way;)
