Ok so I just received the knifeworks exlusive Yojimbo 2 CPM-S90V with carbon fiber handle in the mail earlier this week and as much as I love the knife I really have a hard time justifying to carry it as a EDC. Its just too beautiful and pricey to say the least.

I just wanted to get a feel for what everyone uses and abuses on an every day basis. My current EDC does some standard work from opening up boxes (breakdown as well), cutting through cords, cables, plastic sheeting, zip ties among other things. I'm not looking for a necessarily cheaper knife but definitely one that will be able to put up with the abuse and then some.

With those kinds of requirements and a name like Davey Jones, a serrated Pacific Salt seems like the obvious call. I also have numerous $200+ spydercos and the Pacific Salt seems to find its way into my pocket more than any of them...even when I'm not on the water.

+1 the Pacific salt is my work edc and I'm in complete love. It also finds its way into my pocket alot :)

I usually carry my blue Delica for work tasks. VG-10 is very easy to sharpen and the coloured handles make it less threatening when using it in front of non knife people. Also it's easily replaceable if I lose it or break it.

BTW your Yojimbo looks great :)

There are a lot of good options, much being personal preferance with style you like, materials, size... Much like Johnny1801, the delica 4 is my most used spyderco with the whole blade scratched up, but i like that! haha its a knife that i often finds time in my pocket.
