Last month I picked up a Delica in ZDP189 FFG. It's a great knife, but I'm addicted and need/want something new. I'm having a hard time deciding between a Sage 1, Sage 2, Caly 3, or Para 2. I'm leaning toward something in the Sage line, but I just can't decide. So what do you think?

Well I have all 3 Sage's and my favorite is the 3 I think. I really like the bolt action lock. It is also the smoothest opening and closing of the 3. The Para 2 is also a must have. Compression lock for the win. Speaking of compression locks that Superleaf is really nice too. Not that I don't like the four Manix 2's I have. Got to like that ball bearing lock. Oh and lets not leave out the Military for when nothing but a 4" blade will do. Oh!! wait... wait.... can't leave out that fantastic Gayle Bradley.

Can't go wrong with ANY sage variant IMHO. I just have received my Para2 and new thoughts are it is a fantastic knife.......Honestly though you can go wrong with ANY of those choices. If it were me and I had to pick only one though I would go Para for sure...just my humble opinion ;)

Para 2 is my first Spyderco and I love it.

A Vallotton will probably be my next... or a Manix 2.

I've owned most of the knives you've mentioned (never had a Caly3), and they are all great; but to experience the full genius of Spyderco, you must own a Paramilitary 2.

Thanks for all the insight and info guys. I ended up with the digi-camo Para 2, and I can't wait for it to arrive.

Caly 3.5 in aogami super blue steel has me really intrigued. I have it pre-ordered and it's supposed to be release by the end of July

I received my Para 2 from Cutlery Shoppe today. I haven't had time to spend with it yet, but it sure looks sweet!
