Looking to hear what some people are progressing to after the Venev 1200 OCB 100% stone. I’m thinking about trying the 8000 resin bonded cbn stone on gritomatics site. Anyone have experience with this stone?

Keep in mind the 1200grit Venev is 3/5 microns which is not 1200grit like a traditional waterstone 20-10um. Different grit scales. So it's already plenty fine.
Just strop the edge with diamond spray on leather to get the desired outcome, I recommend 1um.

Would a .5um diamond spray be to large of a jump from the venev 1200?

I haven't found anything as good as a ocb ocb f1200 venev in a higher grit. I have a f2000 ocb I use occasionally, but it is hit or miss whether it will set back the edge finish or not. As far as a diamond/cbn progression, f1200 ocb to 1 micron strop seems to be the best option atm.
