OAL 148mm 5.8 inch
Blade Elmax HRC 63
Titanium liners
Epoxy scales
47g 1.65 ounces
Thanks

i4Marc i4Marc Josh Rider Josh Rider Thank you kindly sirs! I often find I look at my posted pics and the HD and close-ups fill me with a little bit of terror... Anyway:) This is the first prototype I made to deal with what seemed to be so obvious to me ever since I started making folders, the distal tapering blade in folders always ends in a squared off pocket/recess in the handle. I am not a maker of experience or knowledge so am dependent on you kind people giving feedback. I am not sure if others have done this but I could not find any (on limited looking) and asking the informed peeps I know. I'd be grateful if you could let me know. The construction basically employs triangular fix points so it is surprisingy rigid (of course the titanium liners will flex with sufficient direct lateral pressure but you could apply that to other folders - with higher pressure). However, this construction suggested to me that spacers and stand-offs etc. could be omitted if you grind the blade and fit it to the liners in some pocket knives... Ignatius

I am not a folder aficionado so I do not know if this is an original idea. I can only offer my opinion that yours is an elegant solution to the perceived problem.
