I happen to have just won tickets to an NFL pre-season exhibition game tonight in my hometown. Should I plan to keep my edc at home? Let me know ASAP.

(I'm thinking, yes).

Thanks,

Matt

Do you have to go through a metal detector to get to your seats? Otherwise keep it in your pocket. I must add that I am not writing with your 'best legal interests' in mind I just don't let them dis-arm me for no good reason. But then I am a southern Red-neck and I don't let them dis-arm me at all if I can help it. Enjoy the game!

Thanks.

About the metal-detector, I don't know. The NFL is just visiting--literally! I'm under the impression there will be US-style security (no offense), including detectors. The newspapers say that the city has closed roads around the venue because the NFL has a rule about no cars being allowed within 100 feet of an NFL stadium (and there there are a couple of roads that go right beside it).

I would unless it is disposable..... Do they have metal detectors? Lucky it's not in Oakland or else they may require you to be armed.

Then I would say leave it or chance someone taking it. They will most lkely do pat downs anyway.

any sports venue will most likely require a disarm. i went to a minor league football game and they prevented knives, id assume that the NFL would be a step above that security wise.

take a cheapo if you really wanna.

They will have a pat down. Leave it in the car until you leave. If you took it out in the stadium it would be taken and they would make you leave. It's not worth it.

My only experience with Football Stadiums and knives was doing fundraisers for my daughter's high school working the concession stands. We were patted down going into the stadium. I took a Vic Classic with me so I could open boxes. I had no problems getting past the pat down and the Classic opened boxes like a champ.

However, I agree with mmarkh. You should leave your knife in the car. I chanced taking a knife because I knew I would need it. And I took something I would not mind losing if it were found. You won't need a knife. Why take a chance on losing it or being bounced? Either will ruin a nice outing.

last fall i went to a U or TX football gane & they didnt pat down or have metal detectors FWIW, i didnt even think about my knife lol, wasnt a prob though.

i went to a cowboys game in '06 and they werent doing either one at the time, times change though.
