NG Vietnam Tac Question

I was seriously dying to get a RR NG Tac but a few months ago I got to see an ATC Vietnam Tomahawk and now I think it may be more practical for my uses. I wasn't all that interested in it for myself until I saw it has the new acetal handle in the Tac model.

Can anyone tell me how much the viet-tac model weighs with the synthetic handle? Has anyone had any issues with loosening on the synthetic handle for this particular model? If it can be broken, I can usually do it, typically without even trying. I'd heard it'd been put through some kind of military product testing or something. Any details?

Lastly, what's the typical waiting time for a Viet-Tac after ordering?

Thanks a bunch for the info!

Ummmmm..... Helloooo...hellooo...helloo...hello....

Seeming awful empty in here. Anyone? Do I smell bad or something?
Never mind, don't answer that.

Too funny Nobody... ;)

Hey guys...give the guy a hand from your perspective if you would...

Thanks,

These are not my experience but Rob (BlueFlintHawk) has put his Vietnam tactical through its paces.
I've beat the shtuff out of this thing and pried some tough things with ease... haven't exactly tried to break a padlock I haven't yet figured out why anyone would want to unless they wanted to break in somewhere. Use a gun on it! From what I've experienced, I would say it could break a simple padlock... but you didn't give the SIZE of padlock you want to break! there are 2" thick ones ya know! I have pried huge thick staples from trees, put my full weight on the head/handle marriage by climbing and hanging from a tree with it... thrown the shtuff out of it and some other things. Head is secure as ever.

As for as weight, the hickory handled field grade seems lighter, and for wait time, some internet knife stores (1sks.com, 2thehilt.com both of who I recommend) are stocking the Vietnam Tactical. If not, contact Suzanne at ATC. My Vietnam Tactical is with me all the time. Hope this helps.

Well blast it, why did Justin have to go and hang his bike from Next Gen. RR... That's a seriously impressive handle test. Now I'm back to flip flopping again. Handle to head strength is very important to me. Has anyone tried a similar stunt with a Viet Tac?

On a similar note... Has anyone busted up a kevlar helmet with a Next Gen RR yet? I know it's been done with a Vietnam hawk but now I'm wondering about a Next Gen RR.

Thanks as always for your patience.
