Here is the latest good news from the newsletter :

Update on New Hampshire Knife Rights Bill

Rep. Jenn Coffey's New Hampshire Knife Rights Bill has been passed by a UNANIMOUS voice vote in the NH Senate. Knife Rights has worked hard to support Rep. Coffey and her KnifeRights Bill and we are very pleased to have succeeded in enhancing the rights of knife owners in New Hampshire who will now be free to purchase, sell, carry and use switchblades, dirks, daggers and stilettos.

It will take a week or so for the paperwork to be completed and for the bill to be sent to Governor John Lynch who then has five days to sign, veto or simply let it become law automatically. With the unanimous vote in the Senate and support from the NH Chief's of Police Association, we do not expect the Governor to oppose this bill.

The legal possession, sale, and ownership of all types of knives for any reason! The only time a knife of any type would be illegal is with intent to use illegally or actual illegal use....Heaven on earth to me!

What, common sense? :)

With the success of this bill in NH, maybe we'll see a few more states simplifying their approach the same way. It could end up like shall-issue, an idea whose time finally came, and spread widely.

Well, isn't this as it should have been all along?

The Constitution guarantees right to bear arms. While firearms are an important part of this, it covers all the sorts of arms that would have been in use at the time. Among them would have been knives, swords, dirks, daggers, pikes, axes, hammers, and all manner of clubs and maces.
