This is my second sale thread to fund my knife making addiction. I try to set my prices below what the going rate is on a popular auction site. In this case there isn't much to go on. The only sale of a NIB Spyderfly was on 4/5,when a factory second rainbow 440C sold for $419 shipped. Three other sales were for used without box and these went for $260 to $324, $324 being a VG-10.(the other two were non-rainbow 440C)
So what I'm going to do is offer each of these for $400(including shipping, tracking and insurance; Paypal or money order or cash), wait a week, then start dropping the prices on those that are unsold. At a certain point unsold items will be withdrawn and offered at that hated auction site. Knife number 1, the only one left is now $375 (price drop on 5/1)
The pictures that follow are in order with the first showing the box, 4 photos for each butterfly knife. Email for high rez versions.
1) The first Spyderfly listed, a 440C rainbow, went directly from Eric Glesser's hand to mine. I am certain that only two people have touched it since it was made and it has not been used.
2) ***SOLD*** The next 440C rainbow came from a longtime Spyderco retailer. It is unused, but has been touched by an undetermined number of customers before I bought it.
3) ***SOLD*** The last is the original VG-10 model, which came from the same retailer at the same time. There are two fine scratches on the blade. I've seen this sort of scratch on other NIB Spydercos.
All three unlock with moderate pressure, seem perfectly aligned and functional.
