Today I picked up a NICA Green Beret knife in the 5.5 inch length. It has cocobolo scales and the blade is marked NICA Limited 150. This is my first CRK fixed blade. I was also pleased that it came with the leather sheath. No it wasn't cheap but a fine piece of cutlery it be. My Gold membership just lapsed and I've been meaning to renew it. Maybe I can get a friend to post the pics for me. ;)

They are great knives. I'm amazed there are still any around. My local shop sold out FAST!

Way to go Scott Dog! That is a beauty. I have a 5.5 inch Green Beret and it is a great field knife. Those NICA are too pretty to use. Did you go to Plaza Cutlery? I can only go there if my wife holds my wallet!

Yeah I went to Plaza Cutlery. I saw the knife on their website and just couldn't pass up the opportunity. On the website it says the knife comes with the standard Blackhawk sheath, but it actually comes with the leather one. It seems too pretty to use but I always say if you buy it use it so I just may. What have I got to lose, it's not like I want to gut a deer (even though I feel the knife would fully capable in that sense) but it may see kitchen duty. It sure seems like a very fine peice of work consistant with all of the products I've bought from CRK. I really like it. ;) :D

I agree with you on using it. I figure if I hide it away and never use it, my nephew will sell it for $5 at a garage sale when I'm gone. :D
