Picked this one up yesterday, early fourth version with brass rocker pin and separate brass spring holder.

Not mint by any measure and has some character marks! :D

Lock is solid though. I did notice that on the mark side, its missing the front brass rivet. At first I thought it had fallen off, but there is actually just a slight divot in the Macassar Ebony scale where it should be, not a hole going through. So it must have missed getting a rivet at the factory and just got hit by the machine????

Does a bear...umm...never mind. We would love to see the pics. :)

@ Chris - Nice catch! I wish I could find some of the old stuff.

ItsTooEarly,
Nice shots, thanks.
In the first picture, the thickness of the brass liners sure vary. On the top two knives the brass liners and bolsters appear to be milled from a single pc of stock....thats not possible, is it?

...Mike...If ya look closely at all of them, including the ones you now have, the bolsters and liners are ALL one piece...The earliest ones are forged brass in a single piece...afterwards they used sintered brass but still one piece...

DarrylIS,
Thanks for the insight. I dusted off my glasses, grabbed my magnifying glass, went out in the sun, and sure enough.....one pc of brass. Sintered, I had to look it up, thanks again...:)
