Nice Artcile on NEW Mastersmith, Jimmy Chin

Hey that's excellent - good for Jimmy. It would be nice if they did a follow-up on him getting his MS and the Best Damascus awad to boot. So which knife did you snag?

I saw Jimmy's stuff and it was very impresive. Great dagger and he had two fighters that I really liked. Nice article.

Jimmy does great work - I'm lucky enough to have one of his bowies. Really wish more of his work turned up on a regular basis. Congrats on your acquisition - going to post some pics?

Makes me wish I'd made the trip to Blade this year, maybe next.

Jimmy is a serious student and is full of energy. It's hard not to like him. He obviously holds himself to a high standard and that is always a joy to see.

I came in 3rd place at the cutting competition he won, and he deserved the win. He cut very well.

I got to meet him briefly at the breezeway, he walked up while I was talking to Kevin Cashen and he was a truly interesting individual. I had a bit of trouble with his accent but what I was able to understand (he was talking to Kevin) was really interesting.

it's great what you can hear when you listen to two master's talking and know when to shut your mouth.

Congrats on your new Chin....Knife:D

Very nice work! And congrats to Mr Chin on getting his MS stamp!!

I have had the opportunity to view Jimmy's knives...WOW!!! His attention to detail is truly worthy of a Mastersmith. Never have I seen a clamshell guard where not only the scallops but also the insides of the clamshells are so finely polished. If you have not taken the time to read the Taiwan Review article on Jimmy, be sure to do so. His story is inspiring.

Congratulations B&B on your Chin Knife.
