Got mine, full size weighs 4 -1/2 lbs and is nice quality wool

Yes, that Sportsmans Guide has some ridiculously good deals on stuff. It may not always be grade A quality stuff but when its that cheap who cares. Did you happen to see the knife they have in there that is a big rip off of a TOPS knife for ~ $10. On page 46 actually. They say it is a 4 star top of the line knife. haha. Now that I'm looking at the catalog what do you mean points blanket? They have 12 USMil jumbo wool blankets for $50. Is that what you are talking about. In that case you got ripped:confused: I'm looking at purchasing the Guide Gear Presque Isle Bivy Tent on pg20 for $25. You can't go wrong for that price, you can just trash the tent and dispose of it when you are done camping, although I probably wouldn't.:D

point as in hudson bay point blanket-they have red with black or the traditional candy stripe.
You can probably get the same quality in a solid color for the same price somewhere, but if you want the frontier look this is the best deal.

I guess I'm dense. I've looked for 10 minutes and haven't found the blanket. Some directions please.

I haven't seen the video, but I'd bet the velux weighs less, is warmer and will dry quicker.(it probably catches fire easier too) At that point I use a sleeping bag.
For me the blanket is solely for it's "purist" factor, romanticism, etc
