Nice etch on a Bonecutter

I got this 15" Bonecutter a while back and it's one of my favorite khuks for general use. It's 25 oz so heavy enough to chop stuff up to about 6" and yet light enough to swing at a sapling and cut it.

Anyway it SEEMS well tempered so I decided to etch it to see how the tempering line went.

If you look at the pic here:

You can see that it runs a long distance along the edge and a lot closer to the tip than most khuks.

I think this one is Sgt K and I'm wondering if he uses the teapot or whether he actually dips the edge it seems to run so even:thumbup:

What like regular cooking strength basalmic or cider vinegar? Or some stronger concentration?
 
Thanks for sharing your findings.

Almost makes me want to do the same to my Murali 12 inch Bonecutter to see how much he copied the Sgt with his version? :confused:
