Nice everyday carry

I have been carrying a Cold Steel Spartan for about 6 months know. I like the quality and length. It is just too wide for me. It takes up quite a bit of room in my pocket. I ride a Harley and would like one of the benchmade H-D knives. I would like some help on which one to get. Like I said it will be everyday usage. I have narrowed it down to the ti-fender, mini-hardtail (13100, 13150, or 13150-1), or mini pika.

I do like the metal handles over the plastic handles. I just think lower quality when I see the plastic. I also have little idea about which steel would be the best for my use. I am also not sure if I should really spend 200+ on a daily use knife that will most likely get very worn over time. So, which do you all suggest?

Of the three you mention, I really like the ti-Fender. Since you are accustomed to the Spartan, why are you not considering the large-Hardtail. As far as $200 for one, you can definitely find them cheaper from online stores. Of course the Ti-Fender is less expensive at about 1/2 that $200! IF it were me, I would go for the fourth one, the large Hardtail. You should be able to find it around $150.

The "plastic" material that Harley uses for some of their knife handles is no ordinary plastic. In fact, it's an EXTREMELEY tough and strong composite of fiberglass and resin. I'd say it's virtually indestructable. G-10 has been used by several knife manufacturers for decades in hard-use knives, and throughout all that time I can't recall a single incident involving breakage. Another very nice thing about G-10 is the excelent grip it provides even with wet hands.

I understand your aversion to plastic, but I'd suggest that you not automatically dismiss G-10. If you can, try to get some hands-on time with a G-10 handled HD knife, you might be pleasantly surprised.
