Hello Hogs and Piglets!
It's been a long time since I posted here, but I've been lurking from time to time.
Maybe some of you remember me :)
Anyway, although recently I'm too busy taking care of my growing family to have as much time for knives as I wish I had, I managed to snatch (here in Poland:cool:) a nice piece of good old infi.
Sadly I don't remember all the names, and I'm not sure what model it is. Looks like a BA III, but it has a swedge? and it's definately thinner than 3/16". It has a cool camo sheath (that looks like Okuden's to me - I always admired his sheaths).
Here it is (sorry for poor pic):

Does anyone know what's the name of this knife?

Clip Point Jungle Badger Attack 3 CPJBA Well found! :)

Thanks leatherman! :) Were they from the same period as BAIII? Was it a special run or something?
That's a nice micarta on this knife!

Yep, same time period, maybe towards end of runs.

There are some out there with the "Desert" finish, which was the older tan blade colour, which had a bit rougher feel to it. Miss that finish too...

Green linen. Wish I would have picked up some when it was around. Beautiful scale material in my opinion.

Thanks :)
To me the slabs look like black canvas. I used to have a lep warden and I remember green linen slabs had different look.

No problem at all :)
To tell the truth I wish they were green linen - I love this color of micarta.
Nice oldie, but I still prefer my Boss Jack LE. :D

Beautiful Busse and to find it in Poland, well that is just special... Congrats.

If its thinner than .187 and is .150 or a tad over it is the anorexic version of the BAIII.

CPJABA.
Clip Point Jungle Anorexic Badger Attack.

I had one, and also had three DABA's, and an ABALE.

The ABA's are my favorite Busse made.

Great find, and good to see you around !

Yep! I remember these came out at the same time as the Clip Point Desert ABA's. I had one of the Desert pieces once upon a time and really miss that one. Mine was marked "Custom Shop" I wonder if the Jungle versions were as well?

A few "fat" versions came out as well, I have a .20 Clip Point BA. Problem with the Desert finish is it has a habit of chipping off on the edges. But the steel underneath looks like a nice satin, I am very much tempted to take a can of stripper to mine. This one is marked with the Ergo logo instead of custom shop, its interesting studying the history of some of these knives.

Thank you all for help and for kind words. I have a plan to slowly rebuilt my busse collection. But first I have to cover some blanks in my busse education. So many new knives with funny abrevations :D

I seem to remember that the JABA was hollow ground, the only variation of the BA III to be so.
