Like most folks I have a problem playing with my knives too much. Driving, watching TV anything, I play with my folders.
Are Friction Folders fun to mess with?
Who makes a nice one?
Thanks.

I would 2nd GCS's suggestion. The Svord Peasant or the Mini peasant is a good inexpensive way to check out friction folders. They have a few handle material options and if you don't care for any they offer you can always make your own handle scales for a customized look. Here is a pic of mine.

If you want something a lot more high end and awesome check out Daniel Fairly's friction folders. He is planing a run soon.

The Svord is an affordable friction folder. It has to be made nice by the user. The fundamentals are there, but out of the package, it's a little bit lacking.

Japanese Higonokami style knives can be found for about the same price, and similar level of crudeness. I prefer them to the Svord, because they are much more pocketable.
