That about says it all, nice one ya bastid! Too bad I saw it too late and am broke. :D

Since it is no longer in play, could you please explain? Yes, I could go out there myself, but that site is prohibited here at work. :D

He scored himself another vintage Silent Knight, that's all. It didn't look like it was in too bad a shape either.

I must be a living in a hole under a large rock, I never seem to see where these blades go up for sale.

Apart from the auction site that shall not be mentioned could someone maybe help out a piglet and share a secret or to as to where else I could check?

Oh and gratz Ducci, any chance of a pic or two?

WOW!!! That was a great price too, if you have that kind of cash... I'm glad I didn't see it first, I would have paced a hole in the floor trying to figure out a way to get the money to buy it.

Please don't let Grinducci get a hold of it and be sure to post pics when you get it home!

It was up for sale for a couple of hours and I thought if no one was going to buy it, I might as well, I like the older knives with the old style etched logos. Hopefully it is in good condition, hard to tell for sure in the pictures.

Yes, I did recently trade my other one, but missed it, so when I saw this one with the etched logo, I grabbed it. I'll post some pictures when it arrives.

:D

it looks to be in good condition. the rust doens't look like pitting rust, and it might come off with a scotch brite pad.

ya'll call that a deal - but thats still a LOT of money. if I had the money i'd probably have bought it, used it a couple times to get the feel of it and then sold it for a profit

woulda kept if if it chopped better then a ffbm though.

I also think that is a great score, regardless of price. Of course, there are limits, but I don't think that price is out of line at all. IMHO, the SKs are a very rare piece of Busse history, much like the original two SHBMs that were tested (I think pbubsy has them???). How can you put a price on that???

I can see both sides - it is a lot of $$$ for a knife, especially one that will probably see minimal use. Some people might keep it under glass, some people might swing it around a few times - both types probably have a beater SH or BM that is the go-to for most jobs.

On the other hand, it's a great piece of Busse history and a great centerpiece for a collection. Knowing that it came from Jerry, it's probably a darn fine knife as well (I haven't had the pleasure of handling an SK in person). When you think some FSHs and less common BMs have been pushing a grand, not to mention SFNOs, the buy it now price is a steal if you have the cash laying around.

If you want a big knife you can do something with why not get rid of those 30 SHSHs and get 6 good SHBMs:foot:?

Everyone has a SHBM (thanks to Cobalt!), but how many have a etched logo Silent Knight!

He was lucky I stayed up late drinking cause when I saw it there was no hesitation:eek:

I hit the Buy it now

but then it directed me to auction has ended page, and I saw The winner.
