Hawk by Winkler Knives II

I was cleaning out the old weapons cage at the base today, so I snapped this shot of my R & D Hawk whit some of the service riffles we have. I’ve carried this hawk for a few months now, here are a few things iv use it for.

Door breeching.
Window breaker and rake.
Tire flattener.
Offensive weapon (it when through a Kevlar vest a presumed kidnaper had on, he grabbed one of my team mates rifle and well, he let go after he met my hawk. Nasty shoulder cut, but he will live:grumpy:)
Crowd control. (Once they see what’s in your hand they make way:D)
Made a few holes in some water drums to empty the out.

The hawk definitely has a place in my day to day gear. And it’s gaining some popularity among my team mates; some are carrying the RMJ Kestrel and the Vietnam tomahawk.

It’s the Beretta ARX-160 assault rifle
It’s going to replace the AR 15,s we have in service.

The Beretta ARX-160 assault rifle is gas operated weapon that utilizes conventional piston-operated action, with gas piston located above the barrel which is a plus for the riffle over the AR 15. Another interesting and unusual feature of the Beretta ARX-160 assault rifle is that it has selectable left / right side ejection system with dual ejection ports (on either side of the gun) and user-switchable left / right position of cocking handle.
To change the direction of empty case ejection, user has to push the cross-bolt button, located above and slightly to the rear of pistol grip, by the tip of the bullet (or other pointed item). This affects dual extractor-ejector claws, installed on the bolt, forcing them to eject spent cartridge to the desired side without any further disassembly of the gun or parts change.
Upper receiver is fitted with full-length Picatinny type rail, made of aluminum, which can accommodate a wide variety of sighting equipment, including iron, telescopic, red-dot or electronic sights. Standard open sights are mounted on folding bases using rail interface. Additional lengths of Picatinny rail are installed on the forend on 3-, 6- and 9- o'clock positions. Lower (6-o'clock) position rail is strong enough to host GLX 160 40mm single-shot grenade launcher. (which we have in the armory)

All and all a grate riffle, but we have only had them for a few months. Time will tell.

Nice pics.

Sayoc is the way to go it performs like a heavy head hawk, but allows true fighter performance its my favorite weapon now and I don't have to worry about running out of ammo.

I like the beretta rifle I shot it 2 summers ago at a police demo in switzerland. I don't think it has much of a immediate future with elite types used to M4 types or the older guys used to HK or AK types. I think this is the rifle of the future but when that future will come idk. I have sold tons of weapons to mexico in the last 3 years and they are looking for that future weapon. When I was in south america they rejected the SCAR rifle in favor of the galil ace rifle LOL. Old habits die hard.

You know, it'd be really cool if you could take a picture of the hawk with some guns in the background or something. :p

Nice pics!
